Mumbai: For the second time in a month, Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aaditya Thackeray met chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday.
Aaditya asked Fadnavis to lift the “stay” on the “water for all” policy. He also demanded that in the housing policy, the penalty for retired police families staying in police quarters be stayed or reduced.
Last month, creating a major buzz in political circles, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray met and congratulated CM Devendra Fadnavis at the latter’s office at the legislature premises in Nagpur. Aaditya was also present at the meeting where they congratulated Fadnavis on the poll win.
“Water for all: The policy brought in by the then CM Uddhav Thackeray Ji ensured that every house in Mumbai would get water, irrespective of their legal status, as a right. The earlier unconstitutional regime of Shinde gave a “stay” to this policy. We humbly requested that this policy be implemented again so that all Mumbaikars can benefit,” Aaditya posted on X. “Police housing: The penalty for retired police families staying in police quarters should be stayed or reduced. Permanent homes for retired police personnel in Mumbai. MVA made a provision of Rs 600 crore for new police housing. Plans for new police quarters in Worli, Mahim, Naigaon, and Kurla are pending for 2 years now. They need to be revived….,” he further stated. — Chaitanya Marpakwar
