Suzuki Motorcycle India has refreshed its scooter lineup with the launch of OBD-2B-compliant engines for the Avenis and Burgman Street scooters. With this update, the entire range of Suzuki two-wheelers, including the Access, Avenis, Burgman Street, and Burgman Street EX, now meets the latest emission regulations. Here’s a look at what’s changed.

Suzuki Avenis: All you need to know

The Suzuki Avenis, although, remains unchanged in terms of design, dimensions, hardware and powertrain, it now comes with an updated 124.3 cc single-cylinder motor that adheres to OBD-2B norms. The engine delivers 8.5 hp at and 10 Nm of torque.

Besides that, the manufacturer has also introduced a Special Edition Avenis featuring a dual-tone paint scheme: Metallic Matte Black No. 2 with Matte Titanium Silver. This variant also sports a Burgundy seat. The Special Edition is priced at Rs 94,000, ex-showroom, while the standard Avenis starts at Rs 93,200.

Burgman Street EX: What’s changed

Suzuki’s maxi-scooter, the Burgman Street EX, also joins the OBD-2B-compliant category. Retaining its 124cc engine, the scooter continues to offer 8.5 hp and 10 Nm. Notable features include Suzuki Eco Performance Alpha (SEP-α) technology, Engine Auto Stop-Start (EASS), and a Silent Starter System.
The Burgman Street EX now gets a new Metallic Matte Stellar Blue colour option, adding to its existing palette of Metallic Matte Black No. 2 and Metallic Royal Bronze. This top-end variant is priced at Rs 1.16 lakh, ex-showroom, while the standard Burgman Street starts at Rs 95,800, ex-showroom.
With this update, Suzuki Motorcycle India’s entire motorcycle and scooter lineup is now compliant with the latest emission norms. These updated models are now available at Suzuki dealerships across the country.
