Zion Williamson’s long-time girlfriend, Akheema Rose has finally addressed the fans’ interest in their relationship following her boyfriend’s suspension for one game. Rose took to her Instagram to share her candid message on the whole ordeal that has been a subject of discussion on social media. Rose urged fans to respect the couple’s privacy, “I stop posting my relationship/private life cuz ya’ll nosey af… I’m @ peace in peace.” She added, “Stop inquiring,” she added as the frustration surrounding the ongoing scrutiny and questions of their relationship have seemingly irritated the mother of Williamson’s kid.

The New Orleans Pelicans have suspended forward Williamson for one game due to a breach of team policies, as confirmed by David Griffin, the team’s executive vice president of basketball operations. Williamson missed the Friday game against the Philadelphia 76ers. Griffin explained that the suspension resulted from Williamson not meeting the team’s standards. He also shared that Williamson has taken full responsibility for his actions and has reaffirmed his commitment to the Pelicans.
“This one game suspension is a result of failing to meet our team standards,” Griffin said in a statement on Friday adding, “his dedication to this organization is of paramount significance to us and to him. He has taken accountability for his actions and reaffirmed that commitment to the team today. I’m confident he will continue to evolve positively on and off the floor.”
It was reported that the Pelicans power forward arrived late for the team’s flight to Philadelphia on Thursday.
Williamson also reacted to the suspension in a statement as he took the blame on himself. “I’ve worked extremely hard in rehab to get healthy to deliver for this team. There is no excuse for being late to team activities. I have apologized to Mrs. Benson and my teammates and coaches and I also owe an apology to the fans. I can and will be better as a teammate and member of this organization,” Willamson shared.
