Sagarika Ghatge, renowned for her role as Preeti Sabharwal in the film ‘Chak De! India‘. A national-level field hockey player, the actress expressed regret over a shelved film with JP Dutta and Sabyasachi was shelved.
In a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble, Sagarika revealed her only regret in life: a shelved film directed by JP Dutta. She expressed disappointment that the film, which was her second project after ‘Chak De! India’, never got released despite extensive shooting. The period film, set between 1920 and 2009, featured costumes designed by Sabyasachi.
The actress lamented that the “big film” remains her sole career regret, wishing it had been released. She described it as an incomplete, unfinished project, despite the majority of filming being completed. She remains unsure of its current status and what ultimately happened to it. The extensive shoot included a month in Rajasthan, followed by filming in St. Moritz and Kolkata, due to the film’s polo theme.
Concluding her thoughts, the actress mentioned that it was a beautifully shot film, but she remains uncertain about its fate. At that time, she was too young to question the situation. While she occasionally reflects on it and wonders what could have been, she doesn’t feel deeply regretful. She simply believes it could have been something special if it had been released.
