Mumbai: The iconic Ravindra Natya Mandir in Prabhadevi, which was closed for renovation since Nov 2023, will reopen at a grand function Feb 28. Culture minister Ashish Shelar will unveil a new emblem for the centre.
Meenal Joglekar, director of P L Deshpande Maharashtra Kala Academy, said the complex will include new Dolby 7.1 surround sound, movie hall as well as stage halls, refined acoustics, 15 rehearsal rooms, open-air theatre, five exhibition halls and multiple sound studios. It will be disabled friendly granting wheelchair access.
