Vasai: A week after Ashok Dhodi, a Shiv Sena coordinator for Dahanu-Talasari assembly was reported missing on Jan 20, his son Akash claimed that “property and liquor could be reasons” for his father’s kidnapping. The son also alleged that the person behind the kidnapping is his youngest uncle and his friends who allegedly sell liquor from Daman. He also alleged that the uncle had threatened his mother over a property share.
The missing man last spoke to his family on Jan 20 evening. He had told them to keep to keep food ready, but never got home, said his family. A kidnapping case has been registered by the police. —Vishal Rajemahadik
