Mumbai: Success rate of Mumbai University’s TYBCom students in the semester V exam is almost similar to last year’s, with nearly 60% of students failing.
TYBCom exam is taken by nearly 60,000 students from affiliated colleges, the highest for any programme. The success rate in the exam for traditional courses, which was around 60-70% before the pandemic, has not recovered since.
The university has, however, reduced the number of results kept in reserve for various reasons, including for not clearing lower exams and those for provisional admission. Of 55,620 students who took the exam, 23,134 passed. Principals have been complaining about poor results in traditional courses for some time, as other self-financed courses are recording a success rate of over 70%.
